THE GO-GETTER | 2007 TWO ROADS ENTERTAINMENT/ETC. FILMS

For the wanderlusters that love California, this movie makes me want to commit grand theft auto! you’ll either love this film or hate it, here’s a few reasons why i love it: 1. subtle, awesome humor while still being deeply moving  2. Judy Greer (Arrested Development/Mad Love), Jena Malone (Donnie Darko/Sucker Punch) & Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) make these really dope appearances early on; 3. Zooey Deschannel’s role in this movie just gives fills you up with warmth and.. ugh she’s just perfect.

Overall, I think it’s one of the best movies ever made!! The stories that everyone share with Mercer (Lou Taylor Pucci) are not unlike the ones that shape us and who we are: Pieces of personal history, memories of siblings and cousins, and goodness despite the hardships. If this was DVDuesday, it’d earn a ‘Buy’ from me :)
